Furnished and equipped accommodation must allow the guests to live there from day 1, only bringing their personal effects. For this, your accommodation must include everything necessary to their comfort. Here's what to provide:

Utilities

Namely:

• Heating
• Electricity
• High-speed Wi-Fi

Basic furnishing

Provide essential furniture:

• Bed and mattress
• Couch and television stand
• Kitchen table and chairs

Appliances

At a minimum, provide a stove and a fridge. If space permits, also provide a washer, dryer and/or dishwasher.

Linens

For each bed, provide:

• sheets
• a comforter or duvet
• a duvet cover
• pillows

Towels

Provide all types:

• Bath towels
• Hand towels
• Face cloths
• Dish cloths

Kitchen necessities

Provide everything needed for cooking, eating and drinking:

• Plates and bowls
• Glasses and cups
• Table utensils
• Pots and pans
• Ovenproof baking sheets and dishes
• Kitchen utensils (e.g.: wooden spoon, tongs, spatula, whisk)
• Knives and cutting boards

Remember to include small appliances like a microwave, coffee machine and toaster.

Television

It can be a smart TV (i.e., connected to Wi-Fi) or cable TV.

Housekeeping equipment

At a minimum, provide the following equipment:

• broom and dustpan or vacuum
• mop and bucket
• toilet brush and plunger
• a few trash cans (e.g.: one for the kitchen, one for the bathroom and one for each bedroom)

Safety equipment

Equip your accommodation with a fire extinguisher and fire alarm with batteries. If your accommodation has sources of carbon monoxide, install an alarm. Check that everything works before each new rental.

Extra touches (optional)

Although not mandatory, the following items are always appreciated:

• Air-conditioning
• Toilet paper and paper towels
• Hygiene products (body and hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.)
• Cleaning products, vacuum, feather duster and washcloths
• Iron and ironing board
• Cooking oil, spices and herbs
