Step 1: Submit a housing request
With one simple request, you reach all local hosts whose accommodations match your needs. Interested hosts then submit their most competitive offers.

Step 2: Sinistar reaches out to local hosts
Once your request is reviewed, a Sinistar agent contacts all eligible hosts in your area with a single action. Hosts who wish to accommodate you submit their offers within 24 hours.
Step 3: Review the best offer
Your Sinistar agent presents you with the best-value option. You can choose to accept it or review alternative accommodations.
Once you’ve made your selection, the quote is sent to your claims adjuster for approval.

Step 4: Sign the required documents
You’ll be asked to review and sign two documents:
Temporary stay rental agreement – outlines the terms between you, the host, Sinistar, and your insurer.
Assignment of claim – authorizes your insurer to pay Sinistar directly for your accommodation.

Step 5: Receive your move-in instructions
You’ll receive an email with everything you need to know, including how to access your accommodation and how to contact your host.
Step 6: Move into your temporary home
That’s it—you’re ready to settle into your temporary accommodation.
Step 7: Stay extension (if needed)
Before your scheduled stay ends, your claims adjuster will be contacted to confirm whether an extension is required—useful if repairs or renovations take longer than expected.
Step 8: Check out on your departure date
Simply follow the host’s checkout instructions, which were provided before your move-in. Then it’s time to head home.
